The Hip Hop Culture Center in Harlem is a fully integrated entertainment and
educational complex that uses hiphop
as a tool for teaching youth topics as
varied as politics, history and economics. It also hosts a full range of nondespitable
events, such as the Rapathon, New York’s largest Electric Slide
Demonstration, initially designed as a fundraising operation for the HHCC but
now aimed to aid impoverished Haitians living way below the poverty line.
